I just love “just because” couples portrait sessions! Who says you need a special occasion to celebrate your love and have fun together creating portrait memories and artwork you will treasure? Not me! Sean and Kim wanted to have a couples portrait session, partly so they would have pictures to cherish while they would be apart for a long summer and partly to have portraits to share with family. Sean’s parents have a fishing boat, on which he has spent many long months, working and playing hard, creating memories, and on which he would be during the upcoming summer. It was a no-brainer that the boat was the ideal starting point for Sean and Kim’s couples portraits in Seattle. Later, we headed down to the Ballard Locks in Seattle for more fun-loving pictures, even having them sport their snow gear, since they love spending days in the snow together.
I forgot to mention it was snowing! How perfect, since they love snow. Can you see the tiny little flakes?
Oh yea, and they have this thing where Kim will tickle Sean without warning, and Sean is so ticklish! Then, if Sean tries to tickle Kim, it’s no big deal because it doesn’t phase her at all! Kim and I had this plan to surprise Sean with the tickles, so I just randomly counted out, “Ok ready? 1, 2, 3!” Sean had no idea what hit him, and when he tried to get her back, Kim just shrugged at his feeble attempts.
Did you see her cute shoes above? Sean searched far and wide to get those for her! Awwww….
Thanks, Sean and Kim, for letting me capture these couples portrait memories for you!
Cheers!
