I realized that I hardly have any couples portraits posted on my blog or on my Facebook, and they are one of my favorites! Well, spring is here (though us in the Seattle area may beg to differ, since we have seen snow, hail, blustery freezing winds, and all as of late.) Even so, spring is here and love is in the air, so let’s breathe it in and celebrate with a few of my favorite couples shoots. Here are some fun portraits from Nick and Kelcie’s Engagement shoot. When getting to know them, they had several fun beach stories, some of which were a little pivotal in their relationship. After hearing that, we all realized it was a done deal – they were “beach people,” so off to the beach we went, south of Seattle down to Tacoma, for their engagement session. I loved hearing Nick and Kelcie’s engagement story, complete with a pillow fight. We decided to tie that into their engagement pictures and bring it up a notch with some feather blasting action. They really had to hit the life out of those pillows to get the hidden feathers to fly! We were all rolling with laugher as we tried to get just the right serious of shots for their engagement session.

They have this cute little way of holding hands – how sweet is that!? I had to snap some pictures of that.

Oh and he sometimes surprises her with a fuchsia calla lilly, her favorite. We replicated the moment with a white one. Too sweet!

Nick and Kelcie, I’m so glad that you let me be a part of your life as you planned your perfect wedding. It has been such a joy getting to know both of you! Thank you for so many wonderful adventures.
