I have another lovely spokesmodel I would like to introduce! Meet Elizabeth! If she goes to your high school, she is the person to contact for a special deal on and first-hand experience with senior portraits with me. She is quite a gem – full of smiles and laughs (and she even pulled off some beautiful “serious” looks and now has the photos to prove it to one unbelieving friend lol!) We had a wonderful time, and you will never believe from the photos below that this was her first professional shoot ever! What a way to start.
Here are some of the faves:

Oh, I forgot to mention that Elizabeth is a phenomenal lacrosse player! I love the look we styled below: glammed out gal meets tough lacrosse chick

Her favorite color is – get this – rainbow! Soooo cute. Well, we didn’t have any rainbows out that day, so I took the liberty of putting a faint rainbow overlay on this next dreamy, snowing cottonwood senior spokesmodel photo:

Elizabeth, you were wonderful! Thanks so much for joining my senior portrait spokesmodel team!
Cheers!

Here she is, guys: my newest senior portrait spokesmodel, Kristina! She has already been such a fantastic addition to my team, even before the weather gave us a chance to do her junior year spokesmodel shoot. (She has been busily recruiting juniors for their senior pictures, taking advantage of the specials that I have going on for a limited time on my Facebook page. You, rock, Kristina! Her wonderful beau and fun-loving mom were able to join us for her spokesmodel shoot and, boy, did we have a blast! I wish you could have all been there to see the way they all play off each other. What a riot.
We got some amazing photos and even ducked into a brick bus stop at the end to hide from the rain and play with my lights. Now, without further ado, here are a few of the photos from our day:

Kristina has a thing for the color purple, so I purpled out this next pic a bit:

Okay so these two are definitely on the cutest couples’ list. Just look at them! They were so naturally comfortable and lovey with each other – it was just downright sweet! Oh and did I mention that they coordinated in the perfect shade of purple? Maybe the shoot day was planned but they do just do that without planning it out all the time!:

The rain came to visit us at the end, but there was no stopping us! Here are some shots with cool lighting in a fun brick bus stop.:

Thanks, guys, for adding some extra fun to my day!

It’s hard to believe it was already time for Rose’s senior portraits. You may remember her, introduced as one of my Kristen Buchmann Photography spokesmodels a while back. Well, here is her sweet, beautiful face again (and amazing green eyes,) showcased in her own senior pictures! She chose to do her senior portrait shoot later in the year; she graduates in only a few short weeks; to show off her new, longer locks, a different look from her spokesmodel shorter hairdoo. (Let me add that if you are a senior reading this and haven’t had your senior pics taken…or want to show off your end-of-the-senior-year look as well, contact me asap for your own senior portrait shoot!) And now, without further ado, here are a few of our favorite photos from rose’s senior portrait shoot:

Rose (and one of her best friends, Jenny, who tagged along and got some joint pics done,) thanks so much for a fun adventure! You looked gorgeous and, as always, made my time with you a pleasure.
Everyone reading this, please leave comments below and feel free to click on any of the links to share this post and spread the word!
Delightfully,

Look out, world! Another cutie pie has just joined us and has already started her “modeling career” in her newborn portrait session with Kristen Buchmann Photography.
Baby Kyri Emmaline was just three days old when I had the honor or capturing her newborn sweetness in portraits. I hope you enjoy gazing at Kyri’s newborn photos as much as I loved taking them. You’ll see how much big brother, Gabriel, and mommy and daddy, Eve and Scott, just love this precious new little one.

She is a little gift!

One of the sweetest things about this next portrait is that Gabriel picked out the outfit at the store himself after Kyri was born! Awwww…. (They didn’t know if she would be a boy or girl beforehand and so didn’t have much in the baby girl attire department.)

Check out Kyri’s teeny tiny newborn hands and fingers!

You gotta love her little baby bottom!

I love what a sweet, intimate, mommy daughter moment this one captures:

Scott, Eve, Gabriel, and baby Kyri, you all were were wonderful! Thank you for letting me share these special moments with you and having me capture her newborn portraits for you.

Hooray! Even though I haven’t kept my blogging up-to-date, I just had to share Campbell’s adorable one-year-old portraits! Can you believe she just had her first birthday? If you have been following my blog, you may remember Campbell’s other cute photo shoots. Brent & Stacey signed up for my Baby’s First Year Collection, so they have been enjoying four portrait sessions throughout the year. I’m designing photos from Cambell’s newborn portraits, four month baby portraits, nine month baby portraits, and one-year-old first birthday portraits into an adorable keepsake album. I can’t wait until it’s finished for them, and maybe I’ll even share it with all of you! We were greeted with gorgeous weather this past Saturday, which made Campbell’s first birthday portraits just that much more fun! Here are a few faves:

Look who’s walking!

Gotta love the fu man chu frosting mustache!

Thanks, guys, for a finger-licking fun day!
Delightfully,
Kristen

Sorry it has been a while again, guys! I have been working on a LOT of photography products and things behind the scenes, which will be really exciting when I am finished. I realize I haven’t posted the photos from Bob & Karen’s wedding at the Tacoma Art Museum that I photographed back in December. That teaser photo of the gorgeous red, black, and gold sequin shoes has been long awaiting its other photo friends. Did any of you try guessing why Karen had those amazingly beautiful shoes on her wedding day? Here is a really big hint:

Was that a big enough hint for you? Doesn’t she look like a knockout in her black, red, and gold TANGO dress that perfectly match those cute shoes? As a surprise to their wedding guests, Bob & Karen perfected a tango dance performance. The house lights dimmed and they strolled out into the spotlight, trying to hide the almost giddy excitement behind their serious tango faces. What a fantastic performance. The audience loved every minute of it, and you could tell Bob & Karen were having a blast. They are so much in love…

We also photographed a number of detail shots for the talented Tammi L Barber of Events by TLB

I just couldn’t get over these eye-catching chandeliers. They covered the ceiling and added a lot to the ambiance.

Congratulations, Bob & Karen. Best wishes to both of you, and may your love grow even stronger over the years to come!

Just in case you are wondering why my blog looks a little funny right now and keeps changing, it’s because I’m in the process of revamping it! Stay tuned for a new look, and please be patient with the little hiccups.

Okay – so normally I don’t let Dakota…or the cats…or the dog…or anyone with messy fingers or smelly socks sit on my living room couch, let along jump on it! Yet, who can resist when the whole ensemble and enthusiasm make for such a picture perfect moment! I love how the red of Dakota’s Christmas pjs contrast with the softness of the rest of the room and compliment the greens in the pillow beside him. Too perfect – and this was a totally candid moment. I love catching those types of shots on portrait shoots, especially child portrait shoots – how fun when they happen with my very own family, who is on a constant portrait shoot, so it seems!

Check out his new monogrammed Christmas pjs! We decided to start a new family tradition of opening new pjs on Christmas eve and wear them as our Christmas morning present-opening attire.

“I need to rest,” he says. Who can blame him? He got more exercise in a few minutes than many of us get in a week…okay a year!

Happy New Year!

Remember Darling Campbell from her four month baby portrait session? Well, the cutie pie and her mommy and daddy are back again to show off baby Campbell and all that she can do nowadays. This baby portrait photography session is the third out of four sessions in my Baby’s First Year package. Just look at all she can do now! She crawls at almost the speed of light – it took several takes to capture her in action…She smiles up a storm, she can even stand on her own for a few precious seconds. If I ever get a chance, I’ll post a little mini photograph movie showing her expressions when she realized she was standing on her own and mommy had let go to stand off to the side. It was quite a hoot. I could jSo precious!
Yes, I am still on maternity leave officially, but her session fell in the midst of it, giving me a fun splash back into the photo shoot action again. Aaaah what a great way to do it – full of baby portrait love and smiles. Now, without further ado, here are a few of my favorites from Campbell’s baby portrait session:
Who can resist a touch of Christmas…and mistletoe?!:

Apparently, patent leather shoes make the perfect baby teether!

Look at her strut her stuff!
