Introducing: Tyler. He graduates in just days, and I had the pleasure of photographing his senior portraits during the last few moments of his senior year. He loves his car, his fantastic Mustang that he has been working on for quite some time, so we were sure to capture plenty of shots with him and his own wheels. We had a ton of fun traveling around to plenty of different locations during the shoot, giving his senior portraits a variety of tastes, from city/urban settings to the beach. Tyler was open to trying anything, so we got to play with some fun lighting and other photographic tools as we raced the sunset. Here are a few of my faves from the session:
A cool reflection shot of Tyler and his Mustang:
Playtime: underexsposed the portrait to make Tyler and the background glow:
A fun photograph of Tyler and the waterfront:
Okay, so I just can’t get over this one! No, I did not photoshop in a seagull flying overhead. That was all in God’s perfect timing…and no, the sunset isn’t fake, and this portrait isn’t taken in front of a green screen or something. It was just all in the timing, Tyler’s cool posing technique, the race against the sun, fun lighting, and the beauty God made, all while I was rushing around in a fun frenzy to make the most of every moment. Aaaahhh…I love the satisfaction of capturing that ideal photographic moment, especially when it was a hurried afterthought!
Until Next Time,
